I haven’t posted to the blog much because I’ve been so consumed with grief and anger over Maddy’s sickness, and then her death. First I was spending what little energy and time I had posting updates and improving Maddy’s blog. After she died, I set up a memorial blog. I was hoping friends of Maddy would post their favourite memories of her, pictures and the like. People are posting these memories to her favourite mailing lists and newsgroups, which is disappointing to me because I was hoping they’d all be collected in one permanent place.

Two thoughts. First, could you link from the memorial site to the usenet threads, through Google? Second, is there a way to make it clearer how to post to the site? I was there recently, intending to put up a message, and couldn’t figure out how. I may have missed something obvious, but even if so, I’m probably not the only one who has…

We also ought to, somehow, archive the newsgroup posts. I know they’re on google, but I was thinking it would be nice to make hard copies for Luce and Jean.
