If we’re at a restaurant, and I put down $11 for a $9 check, don’t pick up my $11 and put down $21 for both my $9 check and your $9 check. That’s just blantantly trying to disguise the fact that you’re a cheap undertipping bastard.

Next time ask for separate checks. And pay for yours up front, and give the server her tip directly.
