They accepted our offer! The house is ours! Woo hoo!

It’s 2700 sq feet, including a finished attic with two bedrooms and a full bath in it. The tree arching over the front entrance is a magnolia, and it was in full bloom when we went to see the open house yesterday.

The owners were out of town all weekend, so they won’t even see the offer until this evening.

We’ve put an offer in on a house. It’s a lovely old 1920 house that once belonged to a sister of George and Ira Gershwin. It’s more house than we need, more expensive than we’d planned on, but it’s beautiful, well kept, and in a great neighbourhood.

I really hope we get it.
