It’s freezing here at work. I’m not sure if it’s everywhere or just at my desk – there is a bit of a cold breeze here. My feet have been freezing since I got here and my fingers are clumsy. I actually warmed up a bit when I went to Wegmans for lunch. People are looking at me funny because I’m wearing a toque, but at least my fingers are working again. Still no joy with my feet though. I wonder what they’d think if I put on my moon boots?

See, this is why they give you an ancient computer, so it has to work really hard and heat up for challenging tasks like typing a “t”.
Do you think this is a problem with the heating infrastructure or do you think this is a cost-cutting move?
Even around here on the old continent there is _no_ law and _no_ union rule for office workspaces stating that it only can be so cold (in winter)or so warm (during summer) before you are allowed to go home with pay. Only bargaining power is your marketplace value. 2007 (and probably last year too) my employer fired more people than the _town_ I live in.
