Based on my experience with gaming in Parallels, forget about it - just dual boot into Windows instead.

I was hooked on a (non flying) sim program for a while which had graphics and 3D utilization that I would consider comparable to MSFS - it was virtually unplayable via Windows from within OSX. When I simply shutdown OSX and booted directly into Windows the experience was vastly different - surprisingly good, actually.

FWIW, what was the name of that sim software that we tried at Oshkosh? X-Flight I think it was? It was available OSX native I remember, so maybe that would be an alternative to Windows/MSFS if it serves all the same IFR training purposes.
