That said, I personally have no problem with it.  It's part of what he does (well, did).  Keith Jarrett does it too.</description>

When I was young and asked a friend for some "good classical music," he gave me a couple of Gould albums.  when I asked him if he had anything without a bunch of humming and grunting, his response was that I didn't have a sophisticated-enough intellect to appreciate classical music.</description>
