I’m happily filling out the form until I start reading the template letter. First:
“Did you know that last year President Bush signed a law that dishonors our obligations under the Geneva Conventions and allows unreliable statements gained by torture or coercion to be used as evidence against defendants. ”
Is it a question? Oops, I mean, is it a question.
“This is just one more nail in America’s international reputation, ”
(At this point I’m screaming “The coffin of! THE FRICKIN COFFIN OF, PEOPLE!!”)
I agree with pretty much everything in the letter, but boy does it need some tough love from a half-decent proofreader.
